The Purple Dresser – Royalty in Disguise

The Purple Dresser – Royalty in Disguise

Abandoned. Forgotten. Left on the side of the road.

This vintage 1970s hutch had seen better days. Years of weather had taken their toll, and unfortunately the upper cabinet couldn't be saved. Most people would have driven right past it.

I didn't.

The moment I saw it, I knew exactly what it could become.

"You're going purple, my friend."

The transformation began with sanding, priming, and painting, but I wanted it to become more than just another painted dresser. I gave the cabinet interior a surprise aqua blue finish, then completed the look with elegant gold feet and matching gold hardware. Like a piece of jewelry, those final details brought everything together.

What had once been destined for the landfill became a bold statement piece full of personality.

No longer hidden beneath a bulky hutch top, she could finally stand on her own.

My little diva.

Some furniture just needs someone willing to see what everyone else overlooked.
